Mora is a city located in Kanabec County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 3,193. It is the county seat of Kanabec County6.
Among other things, Mora plays host to the Mora Vasaloppet, the largest ski race in Minnesota, as well as the Snake River Canoe Race, the Mora Half-Marathon, and the Mora Bicycle Tour. Mora is also the home of a gigantic Dala horse, which commemorates the town's Swedish roots.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 11.0 km2 (4.2 mi2). 10.6 km2 (4.1 mi2) of it is land and 0.4 km2 (0.2 mi2) of it is water. The total area is 3.77% water.
